Susan Kloman is a private dealer specialising in masterworks from the Art of Africa, Oceania and the Americas. A leading force who transformed the public market for this field, she founded Kloman Art after a longtime tenure as International Director for African and Oceanic Art and Senior Vice President at Christie’s. Susan previously held the position of Vice President, Head of African and Oceanic Art at Sotheby’s New York. In addition to the scores of essays and catalogues she has written, edited and produced over the last three decades, Susan Kloman has most recently authored contributions to Helena Rubinstein: Madame’s Collection, edited by Hélène Joubert and published in conjunction with the major exhibition of the same name at the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, Paris, as well as the forthcoming book Songye: A Story, edited by Anne Vanderstraete and François Neyt. She is the author of the book on a major private collection, Beauty Unusual: Masterworks from the Ceil Pulitzer Collection of African Art.
